Unless you've got a beefy system, Grid runs like a dog. Have you got the newest patches for it? Have you reduced/turned off AA? That's a big performance hitter. VYSNC switched off?

Your CPU might be a bit of a bottleneck performance wise.

I had GRID installed once, found it unplayable on my system and uninstalled it pretty much straight away.

Looking at you specs and noticed you only have 2gigs installed, you might get better results with another 2gigs.

I know you are running 32bit vista but you will get use most of it, also your Graphics card shares your system memory as it own and the more you have installed the more it will borrow.

I saw a review on the first ATI 4870 512mb card V's the new 4870 1gig card and it made a huge difference when they were benching on GRiD

here is a pic to show you how much memmory my graphics card is sharing

Glad to hear the extra memory sorted things out for you, I think you will be happy with that card and as for a ww2 flight sim, Attack on Peal Harbour might suit you, I can't think of any others at the moment but if I do I will let you know.

hi guys,

i just installed vista ultimate x64 on my new HD, updated all things that needs updating^_^... then installed racedriver:grid and updated it to 1.20.
game starts off great and i played the startig round with no errors and glitches, even watched the replay a few times just to make fun of myself ramming into the audience!

my problem starts when i end the replay, the screen just goes black and nothing happens, no video, no sounds.... i even tried waiting for about 20mins just to make sure, maybe something will happen...(maybe my computer will blow up!!^_^)

restarted my rig and played another round of grid but with the same black screen result...

tried exchanging my main 500GB HD with my backup 250GB HD. in which i have windows xp sp3 intalled. played the same game and it played just fine...

i can't think of anything that might be causing this black screen in grid in my vista, since its a fresh installation. my vista base score is 5.5
