any gamers that are older than 20 will feel very at home with this game tho, it has a Call Of Duty: United Offensive feel about it, like its gone back to roots but also has an annoying feel of medal of honor about it, seems like a good game on first inspection, but you will find that the dogs get a bit annoying, im only buying this game for the zombie mod.

Yeah after playing for a while it really offers nothing new or different than COD4... Just changed.

Dogs instead of a chopper, new guns, new maps, but the basic game play is the same.

They seem to be just using the name now and releasing a new one every year because they know people will buy it and they will make millions...

If you have not played it and have COD4 this is one you can skip if you don't feel like spending $50 for more or less than a well done mod.

ive debated this for a while now, the company who made the 1st and 2nd call of duty on pc were infinity ward, cod3 was made by treyarch, i did buy it because of the name and it just didnt cut the mustard, seemed a bit blocky and generic, cod4 was made by infinity ward again and it was amazing, cod 5 waw is made by guess who, treyarch. its the developer not the distributor, activision have been on call of duty since no.1 and stood firm, if they leave you know its going downhill.
Footnote:treyarch's claim to fame is spiderman games.

Treyarch made the popular Call of Duty: United Offensive expansion pack for Call of Duty 1 on PC, which I really enjoyed the multiplayer of. Then they made all the console versions which were really bad, and I really don't like Call of Duty 5, either. It's nothing like the other PC games.

Well if you read what it says, that's giving credit to the "Developers of Call of Duty", that doesn't mean Infinity Ward developed UO.

Treyarch > Games > Call of Duty: United Offensive

they have the rights to display the content made by activision, but did not develop it. Grey Matter studios and additional content provided by Infinity Ward, they had nothing to do with the developent of the game, its an expansion to an infinity ward game, do you actually own the expansion everlong? i do, if you do, look in credits at the back of the manual, no mention of treyarch.

Re: Ok little ticked at Vista at the moment :( COD5 problem

I thought me saying I enjoyed the CoD:UO multiplayer would have made it clear I own it, but yes, I own all the CoDs on PC. COD:UO is infact my favourite Call of Duty game in the series.

Gray Matter Interactive is Treyarch. They merged in to Treyarch a while ago, so CoD:UO was pretty much created by Treyarch.

And why would COD:UO be on Treyarch's website? That's like EA Games putting Half Life games on their website, or something.

Re: Ok little ticked at Vista at the moment :( COD5 problem

some of grey matter interactive studios team are still with treyarch but the founder and the main developers have moved on from gaming and found careers elsewhere. This does not mean treyarch is grey matter. it means some employees moved to treyarch and others buggered off. Anyways, why are you so persistent in claiming your case, give it a rest, no matter how much research you do my friend i have been gaming in a clan for all the call of duty series, im admin for the live sex shows lord of the rings server on United offensive. go here if you do not believe me www.the-mr-clan.org/news.php, im MrC|NeeDs or MrNeeds: old tags -=|MrC|=-

Re: Ok little ticked at Vista at the moment :( COD5 problem

What does being in a clan have to do with this? I've been in various Call of Duty clans as well through CoD 1 and UO, didn't really get in to 2, and CoD4. No need to jump on your high horse.

If you already knew that Treyarch had Gray Matter Interactive merge in to them, you could have just said from the beginning instead of denying it completely. In a manner of speaking, I was right. Oh, but you're in a Call of Duty clan, that must mean you're better and you win...
