Vista - Call of Duty 5...

Hello i am having problems i installed call of duty 5 but it keeps asking me everytime to enter my serial/key.. friend of mine told me that i need to enter it in the registry i had to do the same thing for call of duty4 and it fixed the problem but i have no idea where cod5 registy is located. COD4 was in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Activision\Call of Duty 4 under 'codkey' where is for cod5 can anybody help?

It should be in the same place under Call of Duty 5 if its not then I don't know.

Your serial key might have been cloned by now and this is probably why is asking you for it. if nothing else, have you tried re install it and applying the key again?

Well, I am hoping that the game won't be as fast paced as CoD 4 was, I hated that on that game, I guess I hate the fact even more when they ask me to go do something and I don't even know where the heck is that place. I remembered playing CoD 4, they kept telling me to get into the Helo Mini Gun and I couldn't see the Helo because I was taking cover on the house in front of the helo so it was blocked to me, I died a gazillion times tryin to look for it in all the wrong places... ahhhh, good times!

Yes I have checked it.. i just need to know where you put it in regedit i had to do the same thing on COD4 so if could somebody tell me where to put it in in registry

Try searching the registry for COD5

Well, for the sake of helping a fellow member and because I also wanted to know and learn, I went looking for my Key after installation, wow, it took me a while to find it as I had to search for a lot of different names but, here it is:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Activision\Call of Duty WAW

On the right pane of this folder, you'll see the "codkey" string and the serial on the right side of it.

If it is not there, search for, Duty or codkey or Wow6432Node... you'll bound to find it.

Is anybody having an issue with the F5 key not Quick Saving for you? I am using a G15 Logitech KB and every other key works but the F keys are not cooperating with this game. I have tried to rebind the F5 to F8 or F9 to no avail.

I am up to the Russian Missions and there's a sniper on my head that is not letting me breath!

Got the game today. Wasn't everything I hoped it would be. The sounds of the guns seem rather light. Even the heavy MGs. Oh well, minor thing. Overall, AI seems easier to kill. Playing through hardened mode in single player.
One problem though. I've tried playing multiplayer and everytime I try to connect to a server it says ERROR server authentication failed. Rather annoying. I've updated to the latest patch for the game and also punk buster. Checked my firewall settings seems fine. I am able to make an online profile though. Do I have to register somewhere or something? Please help, really looking forward to the multiplayer for this one too.
