"Where" into what folder do i load a new game.?
my computer loaded a game into a folder that cant be accessed.. this could be the source of many of my game problems

how do i set them up to all be in the same place and have them all work .. i couldn't find it in C:/ i only found it by clicking 'Custom Download" during reinstall

it showed up in a folder listed there, and i was able to track it down.

it is not listed in "Un-Install Programs and Features" .. can i delete it from there, and download it somewhere else.. like the Windows Game list... which would be really handy.. how do i do that.???

sorry to be such an annoyance, i built a computer to play games and ..it seems to need tweek'n to play them..

Your sentances don't t really make too much sense of the problem.. You download games and try to install them but can't access the install files? Or when you install them you can't access them..?

Make sure you are the administrator of your system

i later found found a dead end file of the game with O bytes that kept it from downloading. the add/remove list didn't have it listed..i thought it was just lost somewhere , left over from a delete. it reloaded OK.. sorry

i have been having a 'lot' of game download problems other people don't have

like Battlefield 2142.. cant get thru 1st log in at the grey box to start the game, i figure it is in some settings.. i dont know what the settings should be,

like internet settings and "Programs and Features/Turn Features on and off"

or do i have .NET framework problems.. i dont know what V64 needs, heard different things

Most of the standard settings you should need are installed. Have you got SP1? This will include the lastest .Net framework

Assuming usually leads to problems, so let's not assume a file with 0 bytes is preventing you from downloading, ok? What's the path to this file? Why do you think it's interfering with your ability to dl?

2142 works just fine with Vista 64... just played a bit last night. Are you installing the game from the DVD or with the EA downloader? The initial screen you see, the one where you're having problems, is the login screen, where the game contacts EA. There's no game setting you need to change... for that matter, there's no game setting that deals with this.

Perhaps if you could spell out all your dl problems that might help? Also tell us what other software you're running, like A/V, firewalls, etc etc.
