BIOSHOCK Problems

Hello I have recently installed BIOSHOCK on my computer but every time i go to play the game it freezes and then blacks out. i can make it to the starting screen but after i select the difficulty the game begins to load then crashes. Any Ideas also i have downloaded and installed the latest version of directx and it did nothing

Cheers

Re: BIOSHOCK Problems

Hello Hajk,

What graphics card do you have? and also what version of driver for it?

Jekyll and Hyde

Bioshock works great for me, but unlike you I am on 64-Bit Vista, but it should still work on yours, let us know the above and hopefully we can get it going for you

Re: BIOSHOCK Problems

It said my Video Card was insufficient but the tab below that said my video card had all the desired features??? does this mean my VC isnt up to par or i have the wrong card for what i want to do??? And finally is there any way to fix this or is BIOSHOCK just out of reach.

Re: BIOSHOCK Problems

I am by no means an expert and someone may well correct me here, but I am guessing that perhaps although your card has the capabilities for certain things, the program is telling you that maybe to my mind that the memory on your card is not enough

I maybe and to be honest I hope I am wrong for your sake.

I am currently running it to see what it says and then I can interpret it better, although my system will be fine, so hold tight and I'll post back with anything else I find out

Is your graphics card an onboard one? I don't really know what it is, I am guessing its onboard, if so then I think that might be the problem, again don't take my word for it though, anyone else know, help me I'm stuck
