game won't play

I just got a Toshiba satellite laptop which replaced my HP that died. The problem is my IL2 Sturmovik forgotten battles won't play. It loads no problem but when you click play the next icon(shows a russian plan) appears the screen flicks and thats it. Lookin for some help ta get me off the ground!

Anyways I dont really understand, do you crash do your desktop or what?

What do you mean with "flick" ? Have you tried to reinstall it? Maybe its a program of yours that disables or makes an error with the program? So when you start nothing happens right? It just freezes? The screen of the game?

When I click play the driver starts to spin and from what i remember when the game worked on XP the first thing that comes up on the screen is a pic of a Polikapov I-16. Thats as far as I get. Nothing else happens , no error msg. I've tried to reload without success. I finally have some time off so I will strap myself in and get this thing solved.:sa:

Have you checked the software company's web site to see if the version you have works with Vista ? It likely should, but it wont hurt to check. Also, check their site for video cards supported and see if yours is in the list.
