My G7 has custom settings, I can choose from 4 or 5 different dpi speeds depending on where I need it more, the G9 is said to have even more setting or utilize the dpi is a much better way.

For instance, playing Vegas 1 & 2, I would need to lower my speeds IIRC, otherwise, I would shoot everywhere else in the map but straight, in other games, I need it a little more speed in order to be able to aim to my liking.

Having the capabilities of 3200 dpi does not mean I am going to use it maxed out

Re: Logitech G9 Gaming Mouse... $20.00 w/MiR

yeah the G5 is the same , 6 customisable settings , i use the game detection setting to automatially set the sensitivity to 2000 ingame , i cant use it in windows , i had to change my style of gaming to run it flat out , but i thought as id bought a mouse with 200dpi i might as well use it

dont forget to set to yuor polling to 100 , give you an extra milliscond response time , get the edge over evryone online

what mousemat do you use? I have an Icemat 2 Glass , been using it years

Networking seems to be one of those things that I will never understand about computer, it kinda hates me, add that to the time it takes to spawn into a decent game, then all you see are people bunny hoping everywhere or running around like crazy, besides, I suck at it so much that I don't last but a few seconds, get my head shot in the process and then, wait another few minutes while I spawn... nah, I can't be bothered with it

I did try the GRAW 2 Demo, got shot quiet a few times by my own team mates or got accused of Camping because I refused to run (like they were doing) from point to point and decided to take my time moving from cover to cover.

2 to 3 minutes later my team is all dead and I am sniping away at the enemy 1 by 1, the owner of the server (I guess) was one of my teammates because of all a sudden I get kicked out or banned out of the game... WTF???

This an plenty of other reasons is why I prefer to game at my own leisure and if and when I want, I can run & gun but, for the most part, I like to take my time sniping away.

A friend on another forum invited me to play FC2 with him but after a 20 minute workout to get in, register or whatever, I gave up on it... the Campaign sucked donkey dong anyways

Totally agree with you AstaLaVista. PC online gaming does indeed suck donkey dong

The only game i play online is COD4 on the ps3. Iv got COD5 on the pc but it never gets played along with every other online part of the games i own.

Re: Logitech G9 Gaming Mouse... $20.00 w/MiR

depends where you play i suppose , if you get a server with 12 year old admins you'll get kicked sometimes just for being better than them , i played al the ww2 sims from medal of honour to cod waw , you need to find a good server , we have our own , our money our rules but when ours is empty i have a few good ones where i can camp all i like , bunnyhopping is unavoidable but pointless , nothing better that taking out a crazed bunnyhopping spray and prayer waving his ppsh about with one shot of a bolt action rifle , thats where the 2000dpi comes in they call you lucky , but you when you get "lucky" time and time again they call you a cheat , it happens , as i say find a server with good admins and good rules and you'll be fine. there easier to find than you may think.

the online side of games is the best part for me , ive not played the cod waw singleplayer since i got it and that was just for 5 minutes

you prefer to game at your own leisure , theres no time limit as to when you join and when you leave

you are missing out , doesnt matter if your cr@p , start off in the deathmatch servers with instant respawn , move onto team deathmatch then search and destroy if thats your thing

you really need to give it a good go , your missing out , its a shame your in the US or id drag you onto a server and make you enjoy yourslf

Re: Logitech G9 Gaming Mouse... $20.00 w/MiR

While i agree a bit with what your saying, online console gaming is more fun. For a start im sitting in a comfy chair, dont need a keyboard and mouse and lastly im playing on my 42 inch plasma with sorround sound.

Whereas pc online gaming im using a 22 inch monitor that i need to sit really close too so i can use my mouse effectively. I suppose it depends on your setup but my pc is not designed for fun online gaming, so i dont lol.

Im pretty good at FPS online as i always place in the top two or three on COD4 etc but i cant be bothered with the time it takes for a game to start most of the time (especially on pc's things like STEAM are just ridiculous). But hay each to their own.

ive just got a 22" dell monitor and i have to sit at the other side of the room!! and my chair is very comfy

My friend has a ps3 and its fantastic for getting together with a few beers and playing football/racing games and it looks impressive on his panasonic plasma (its bigger than my front room)

I cant get around them in first person shooters though , mouse and keyboard is the way forwrd

Yeah a mouse and keyboards more precise but its just not as much fun on my setup. A few beers, a few friends and the ps3 blows my pc out of the water for online/multiplayer games. Huddled around my monitor sharing a keyboard just isnt the same lol
