Re: Resolution problems

Thanks for your system specs.

1. Are all your drivers up to date ?. Go here and use option 2.

Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers

2. Has this always done this or just started.
3. When you say the screen goes small, does it go to window mode or is it a change in the screen resolution ?.

Most games will only allow you to set the resolution as high as your system can support, so it may be thats as high as you will ever get it, but lets look at other options first.

If you want to know if your specs will run a game go here.

Can You RUN It?

Post your results and we will take a look. Good luck.

I just changed my computer to vista, it was an xp pro.

my desktop is set to 1360 by 768 and works but as soon as i go into any game it sets it back to 1024x768 and does not give me the option of any higher,i dont understand why it wont let me,it did when i was using xp.

Re: Resolution problems

I think you will find that the Max resolution your games will run at on this system is 1024x768.
Is this a custom build or a bought from shop PC ?. If bought what make and model is it ?.

Re: Resolution problems

i dont think it is the monitor i would say it is the video card driver for vista, try updating it and let us know what happens.

also did your games work in XP PRO in 1360 x 768?

and what games are you trying to run?

if they are older games that might be the highest resolution available.
