| Windows Vista, XP | My Sims 2 Only Loads Up To 18% ! HELP ME!!!  I have The Sims 2, I always use to play it, but my other laptop broke and I got this one and I tried installing the sims 2! But it stops on disc 1, 18%! Unless I eject and click retry it loads up 1% I kept doing that once and when it finally hit 100% it did nothing and went off for some reason!  TSData\Res\Sound\Sfx.1.package Thats the current file it stops on! Can someone help me! I want to go back on my sims!  I love sims but I cannot play it- Im getting the sims 3 for my birthday problem is thats months away! So I am unpaitent and I really want to play sims! So can anyone help me? |

| Vista Ultimate x64, SP2 | Re: My Sims 2 Only Loads Up To 18% ! Hello jordannegh, Create a new folder on your desktop and copy all files from the Cd's to it, install from there. Right click on the install exe and install as administrator. Good luck and post your results. |

| Vista Ultimate x64, SP2 | Re: My Sims 2 Only Loads Up To 18% ! Put the Cd's in the CD player, Go to computer, Explore CD, Go to Edit and choose select all, Right click and copy, Go to new folder on desktop and open Right click and paste. Make sure you run install as administrator. |
