Does Simcity Societies work with Window Vista 64bit?

Pandemic

Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone else has played Simcity Societies on Windows Vista 64bit?

Or just generally knows if it works on Windows Vista 64x.

Thanks very much, and would be grateful for an answer. :)

Hello Pandemic,
Officially, no, it wont play on Vista x64, but there are a few people around who have it running on their x64 systems, from what i can see, it will play on a x64 system but is very problematic, it really is a coin flip as to whether it will play OK.
Below are a couple of sites, you can see that they both say it wont play on a x64 OS.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa?
I bought the game yesterday, it's getting shipped via mail. :(

What a waste of money... :( :( :( :( :(

I'M SAD NOW. :P :P

EDIT: Would Compatibility Mode work?

Don't slash your wrists just yet, as i said, there are a few people running this without issue on x64, and a few running it with issues, but it's running.
When you install it, install as administrator and in compatibility mode, this should help keep any problems to a minimum.
When you get it installed let us know how it goes, good luck.

Just one more question, do you think I should give it a go or return it?

I bought it via ebay and I can return it if it's unopened.

Opinion? Thanks.

Okay thanks very much, plus it wasn't a very expensive game, only $20AUD which is pretty good.

Wish me luck and thanks very much! :)

Wait, one more thing lol sorry.

What Compatibility Mode would I change it to?

My Computer

I would use the XP, sp2.
Good luck. :)
