What gpu? I ran Dungeon Keeper fine in Win 98 mode I think. Try that. It still tended to crash once in a while. On a old laptop now running Fedora.

Your graphics card. Open up the start menu, type dev, press enter, accept UAC and then look for your graphics card in device manager.

No problem, stick the disc in the drive or mount the image, right click the shortcut and then select win 98 on the compatibility tab, disable visual effects too.

Rip the cd as .iso and then mount it.

Hi Pierce64 and everyone else, just found this site, I'm having PRECICLY the same problem as Pierce64.
I happen to have the same gpu as Piece, except I'm 3450 series. I have tried it compatible with 98, 2000 and XP, and have tried disabling the 'visual themes' but still no luck. Please help me! Should I Rip the cd as .iso then mount it?
Thanks

GOT IT! I've solved the problem!
Run DK2. On the main menu click 'Options'. Then click 'Graphics Options'. Then, untick the 'Hardware Acceleraction' checkbox. Press the Tick in the bottom right, taking you back to the 'Options' menu. Click the Tick in the bottom right of this screen, taking you back to the main menu. Open up a game, a level. Any game. I tried it with both the first campaign level and the first Pet Dungeon. It worked! When you exit back to the main menu, you can see everything again! And it will work the next time you load it up as well, as long as 'Hardware Acceleration' is unticked! I didn't have to 'Disable Visual Effects' or 'Run in compatability mode for...' at all! However, if you do run it in a different compatability, the game doesn't close when you open task manager. Hope this helps, Pierce!
