Wii w/WAP problems

I just got my Wii back yesterday. I had to send it off for repair because my son (3 years old) decided to put in some playing cards and a box top lid. My problem is that before I sent it off for repair I could connect to internet just fine. Now I can connect as before because my routers wireless security is disabled. I set up the router that way on purpose. Now I want to enable the wireless security, WAP Personal, which I did and reconfigured all laptops, everybody can connect. Now, when the Wii tries to connect I get error code 51030...that tells me that there is now WI-Fi access for it to pick up. If I disable wireless security it connects just fine. So, How do I keep my wireless WAP personal enabled and still be able to have the Wii connect as well. Any thoughts?

Re: Wii w/WAP problems

Wii will support WEP

How to setup wifi for the Wii (if you have WEP) | Note to Self...

but you really should set up your wireless for WPA2. It's much more secure.

Thanks, but before I could get back to post I already found out how...yes it was fro the Wii site. I just thought I would ask here first. Yes, I re-enabled wireless security to WAP2 personal. Everything is clicking now.

Should I disable the wireless SSID broadcast and if I do will that mess up connection again.

It does improve your security (don't want to broadcast "hey, get your wireless here"). You should be able to do it without any problems.
