But then again...this is about what you prefer and what you expect out of a PC game.
no mate i think their "point" is WAY off the mark and their screwing over the very people who made this call of duty what it is today , the people who supported them from the beginning , the people who put them where they are today.

I suppose reading this from your perspective (somebody who doesnt game online) then it may seem like a good idea making the servers more balanced but its all BS , they say tet somebody who has all the unlockeable weapons will be better at the game thats just NOT true , they did a very good job of balancing the weapons out (they know this) the unlocks didnt make it easier and they didnt make you a beter player , its just them trying to excuse the fact that they are not supporting us anymore.

imagine gaming with the same set of friends for years (as i have) now with hteir "IW.Net" this is now impossible , we will no longer be able to join any server we wish or have our own dedicated server , the only way to play with friends online would be through a peer to peer connection which is laggay as hell and mostly impossible

their main reason (and i suppose i can se their point here) is that 60% of the COD4 players are playing illegally on pirate copies , thats alot of lost revenue for them so i suppose they think why the hell should we bother with the pc market

Im not dissing your post dude or your opinion im just bloody angry as hell at Infinity Ward

Well said.

Doing this, they've basically removed any incentive for clans and teams to play MW 2 competitively. Every match I played on Modern Warfare had some kind of mod to make it easier and better for teams to play against each other, and without that, it's basically just a casual game.

What happened to "the customer is always right" ?.
Bottom line is, no dedicated server ?, then it's NO SALE, they can shove it where the sun don't shine.

From a Single Player POV, I have no clue of what a Dedicated Server is but, something tells me that everyone is starting to get rid of this and the PC MP guys are getting the short end of the stick.

I don't like gaming online anyway I enjoy the single player to the maximum
Well, I am also a Single Player gamer but it seems that, as of late, us PC Gamers (SP or MP) have been getting jacked up with dumb down version of FPS games so the Console Kiddies can flock to them as well.

Unfortunately, for YOU and I, pc games no longer make money for this Companies and they know it... consoles is where their "Saturated Fat" meals are and they know it.

From the money stand point of view, how can you turn down charging for DLC instead of having to give it for FREE to the PC players?

UBI will get viewed as pioneers now for selling unfinished product (Rad bad & unsupported console ports...GRAW, GRAW 2, Vegas, Vegas 2, etc, etc) instead of being viewed as a bad thing to do.

They will loose big with me since I will no longer be spendng money on those games nor any money or updating my PC hardware... what for?
