Vista - Add ons for FSX

I am trying to install two plane add ons from abacus that i bought. But when the installer tries to install it into the game folder, i get error code 1925, ( i need administrative privaliges) but i am on the admin. account. so how do i fix this? i have seen pts about the UAC settings, but i cant find that at all. Thanks for any help!

Try installing these add on's as an administrator, right click the the installer .exe and choose "run as administrator".
Give this a try and post your results, good luck.

I have tried that. there is nothing to right click though. it is being run through install sheild... and i cant right click on anything when it is going throught the install process. so i thought maybe that changing the uac setting would help, but like i said, i cant find that setting.

Is this on a DVD ?, right click the the install shield icon on the DVD and try that.

no, this is a download from the web site. its a hyperlink in my email, and then starts the download from there....

Do you get the choice of saving the file to another folder or maybe saving to disk ?.

yah, i can can to folder. i will try that out.

1. Launch MSCONFIG from the Run menu.
2. Click on the Tools tab. Scroll down till you find "Disable UAC" . Click on that line.
3. Press the Launch button.
4. A CMD window will open. When the command is done, you can close the window.
5. Close MSCONFIG. You need to reboot the computer for changes to apply.

You can re-enable UAC by selecting the "Enable UAC" line and then clicking on the Launch button.

Just in case you need to disable UAC.
