So the problem I need solved involves a Laptop running Vista and a Digital Download copy of Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 Platinum however the game doesn't just start up because the laptop has a dual core and the Dual core FIX that's on the net makes the DIGITAL download version require a disc

Any ideas?:geek:

Hello AeonGamer,
I'm not familiar with the game, but i was wondering if a no CD patch would solve the problem of needing a disk.
Hope this helps, good luck and post your results.

May not be much help but ...
Have you tried not using the dual core fix?

I unfortunatly can not speak for Vista, but had the game running on 7 with a Quad core machine.

One other thought.
Have you checked the distributors website where you got the digital DL from?

Some of them (Direct2drive for example) require special patches/fixes with thier digital version. Or, that fix is already implemented into the download.

Using a patch/fix from anywhere else other than the special ones they have will break the games DRM they have implemented.
