not sure. Try running the install from windows explorer. I had no problems installing COD2.

Are you installing it as Administrator? Try navigating to the CD rom drive where the COD2 disc is, explore it and right click the .exe installer, then select "Run as Administrator".... see if that works.

In Vista the menu that autostarts doesnt work, you have to go to the explorer and run the file there. Its the same when you want to play, dont use the autorunmenu,,Just your shortcut on the desktop.

The problem is that the autorun menu uses Flash. Go install it from adobe.com and problem will be solved. This will also happen on some other games that use Flash. (Quake 4)

I'm having the exact same problems as Bayan90. No help anywhere on the internet. Doesn't even install on XP machines I have. I get to third disk then I get the Error 1305 msg.

this is waht microsoft say about the error

There is a configuration issue with the CD-ROM drive.
The MDAC (Microsoft Data Access Components) is damaged or is not installed properly.
There is an issue with the CD-ROM media. For example, the program CD-ROM is damaged or dirty.

    probably a damaged disk
