Very Nice System.

How do you like that Monitor?

I am looking at this Samsung 24" : NCIXUS.com - Buy Samsung SyncMaster T240 24IN Widescreen LCD Monitor Black 1920X1200 20000:1DC 5MS DVI VGA HDMI HDCP - LS24TWHSUV/ZC.

its a pretty good monitor.. only complaint is the slight edges bleed backlight a little during all black like say when u boot up,, but during gaming and regular desktop usage its completely gone and un-noticed, i'd say for that price its a pretty good deal as i paid almost $300 for my 22" like 6 months back, other than my small complaint.. it has great brightness and color and SHARPNESS

Sounds good to me. Another guy on here had the 24" (one I am looking at) and he likes it.

I think I might upgrade my monitor from 17" -> 24" and my mobo from Intel Crappy mobo to eVGA 750i FTW model. Probably at the end of the week but i procrastinate! lol

Re: Show us your rig

the samsung syncmasters are beautiful monitors, the response times leave much to be desired but if it the glove fits, wear it.

Any response time under 10ms is generally fine in my opinion. I have a buddy that uses a 14ms response time monitor for general use as well as gaming... I barely notice a difference from my 8ms response time (SyncMaster 245B).

Re: Show us your rig

i play a few games where i need the response time under 8ms, my monitor is 8ms but its bearable, i sometimes see the difference, sometimes i dont, without sounding too sad, heres me playing guitar hero 3 on my pc, YouTube - Guitar Hero 3 PC Cult of Personality Expert 236K this is why i need a fast monitor, also call of duty 4 and 5, and trackmania united forever.
600th post, yay

Re: Show us your rig

I have the Samsung 2253BW, and I also have what your looking at, the Samsiung T240.. and I have to say that the T240 is the best Samsung monitor I've ever had. It's a beautiful screen. I'd Highly recommend it.

I don't know if my 2253BW was bad, but the first one had dimming and flickering, the second one had a loud buzzing, and the third and final one has some terrible backlight bleeding. I was NOT happy with that model. I had the Samsung 226BW before that, and it was a great monitor also, but this T240 is just beautiful, and it's response time is fine, nothing to worry about there.

Here is a picture of the 226BW.. (Right) and the 2253BW (LefT)

that was when I first got it, the 226BW went back to main screen very fast, I now have the T240, but I can't find the pics of it. So I'll take some. I got mine from NCIXUS.com. they have a expressRMA and Zero dead pixel warranty.. one for 11 dollars, one for 4.. so for 15 dollars you get Overnight RMA if needed. and zero pixel warranty. Samsung generally wont replace it unless there is more than 7.. but not with NCIX Zero dead pixel warranty, they will overnight the new one. I'd say go for that. you'll love it. I do

oh and Emulator. what did you test with then?? everest. that doesn't could for OC stability testing. also Prime 95 is good, but it's a lot of work as you'll fail a lot. I'll pass for 3 hours, then crash. it's upsetting to crash on hour 7 or something. haha as some OC sites require a 8 hr Prime shot to let you post Proof of a OC in your sig. lol.

get that, or OCCT is another. it will do in 1 hour what Prime does in 8. so pass 1 hour of OCCT and your good to go, or the new Intel burn Test, but I've heard that gets a little to hot, so I'd stick to the first 2 listed.

Yup I am getting the T240! My mind has been made up but I am a procrastinator! lol

I would like to see a picture of the T240 that you have (i know it looks the same as the website but I like to see it in a real situation)

I am cheap and don't like to spend my money lol. I am going to get the 750i FTW mobo and new ram too

256MB ATi Radeon X1900GT not good enough? Don't feel like spending $ on the card yet since I don't really game much.
