Re: Show us your rig

I totally agree with grimreaper and roy69 regarding the Antec 900 chassis, they just rock! And, as I have one as well, I can fully understand why you chose a 5.1 speaker configuration that is optimized to drown out the fan noise it emits.

Re: Show us your rig

Actually I have all my fans set to the medium setting and even with no sound playing I don't hear them, maybe if I put them all on High it might be an issue but right now it's all quiet.

sansui es-200 speakers are indeed old, but not pc-speakers. high class 3-way speakers from the seventies built in cases higher than a antec solo. excellent sound. and only 2 of them. just stereo. not 5.1 or 7.1, cause those would give huge amounts of cables again in the livingroom.

Re: Show us your rig

Just as an update...I'll be off line for a few days starting 05.06.08 working on another build for myself..yeah here we go again to this never ending hobby I so enjoy every moment I get
780i, memory, and CPU is already sold, for (hopefully) a evga 790i Ultra SLi and possibly either Corsair or OCZ DDR3 1600 PC3-12800+ ...but here's the kickoff-the case-I'm customizing it....shhhh it's a secret.
Still deciding on the CPU....will keep you posted.

Re: Show us your rig

Well I finally decided to take some good pictures when i got home, since taking them though I took my whole computer apart and moved some things around for better airflow.(I don't know why it's so fun to take things apart for no reason)
Since everyone is showing off their Antec 900's I figured I'd throw mine out there too:

It's impossible to tell but my cpu cooler light is actually green.

I put a cold cathode in the top of my case and another 3speed fan on the side and I'm happy with it. (Maybe I won't have the urge to take it apart for another month....nah)

I should take some pictures at night, man this thing can light up the whole room.

Re: Show us your rig

Ok, I'm pissed lol. I have an antec 900 as well, but mine came with those big three pronged power jacks for the fans that wouldn't plug in to my motherboard. I replaced the fans with after market ANTEC fans that had power jacks that WOULD plug into my MB, but they didn't have the cool blue lights on them. I know converting the power jacks on the original fans has to be something easy enough for a moron like me to be able to do, but i don't know what it is. How do I do it so I can get those cool blue lights back?

Big Easy: how did you get a side fan with a blue light? On my case the side fan is an after market thing and the after market fans have no lights...........
