E-mail attachments

Unable to open e-mail attachments. Have tried "set associations" advice without success. Adobe symbol appears after clicking paperclip. Any advice ?

Hi chrisb,

Welcome to Vista Forums.

What is the file extension for the attachment that you are trying to open? Are you able to open the attachment after you save it to the Desktop or one of your user folders?

You will need to have a program installed that can open that file extension type.

If it is a PDF attachment, then this should help you.

Hi, Shawn,
Thanks for your reply but I was fed up with the HP computer so returned it to the shop and bought a Toshiba. This is working correctly now and e-mails and attachments are OK.
This is the first forum I have used (except for a car club)
