| Newbie Rep Power: 6 ![]() | vista dilemma I am in a strange situation with my Vista. I bought my HP computer with Vista Home Premium installed. We installed Vista Ultimate onto the laptop. Now my notebook is malfunctioning- would not turn on at time- and I will be sending it to HP for repairs. There is a high chance they will format my hard drive and install home premium on it. I have made a complete backup of my computer on DVDs using the vista complete backup utility- and I hoped to use that to reinstall my old operating system etc once they send it back. As far as I found out recently, home premium does not have that recovery feature. So what are my options? Will I be able to install the pc image from the dvds using home premium? I also had Office installed on it- and I can't afford to buy ultimate and office. Last edited by mananya; 01-29-2008 at 01:52 AM. |
