| Newbie Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Tried to upgrade to 4 gig of ram, BSOD, help? Hi everyone - I am running Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit. Today I tried to put in 2 more gig of ram (bringing the total to 4) and got a BSOD with the error "page fault in non paged area" about 5-10 seconds after windows loaded. At first I thought it might be a hardware problem, but if I take out my old ram and just leave in the new ram, it works fine, as long as there are only 2 gigs. I installed this Error message when you try to install Windows Vista on a computer that uses more than 3 GB of RAM: "STOP 0x0000000A" after the first bsod even though it refers to a different error. I also tried to slightly increase the voltage to the memory in case that was the issue. Still no luck! Any advice? Thanks for your help!! Sarah PS I can post the mini-dump if that would be useful |
