Hi, I'm new here
I just installed Vista x64 due to my installment of 4gig ram but,
Sadly vista x64 takes 1.4 GB of my ram for basically Nothing:mad::cry:
My Question is: Can i lower the use of ram, without disabling DWM??

/Shows my ram and cpu usage when browsing the net

Hi Tjingsted,

Welcome to Vista Forums.

The RAM is being used up by Superfetch. Superfetch monitors which applications you use the most and preloads these into your system memory (RAM) so they'll be ready when you need them. It helps to run things quicker. You can read more in it here. See the related links to for how to adjust Superfetch instead of turning it off.

I see so many people asking this, complaining about it hogging up ram and such. It's a good thing, it makes things faster and work smarter. Ram's so cheap these days get more and let Vista fly.
