| xp, installing x64 vista | new build problems i've just put everything together and i'm looking to put a bios on it, currently its running straight from the graphics card. When i try to install windows vista x64 it won't recognise my hard driver which is on sata 2. I'll be completely honest its been a few years since i built one of these and getting it all to recognise the sata hard drive is proving difficult and very frustrating. |

| Vista Home Premium 32-bit & Vista Ultimate 64-bit both Service Pack 2 W7 Pro RTM 7600 32 & 64 | Re: new build problems Hi widowmaker, Some more information, please. What is the make and model of your motherboard? Is it actually 64-bit compatible? It sounds as though you need to provide the SATA driver during setup. If you post the requested information, I (or someone else) might be able to help you. Dwarf |
