Desperate help needed

Hi ive recently formatted my XP partition and tried to insall Vista ultimate. Everything installed fine and it got to the stage where i enter my username and password. Once i did this it logged in then immidiatley it shut down. I reset my computer then i recieved this.

After this happens a command line interface comes up saying unable to boot kernal and cant boot etc.

Any ideas?

Is it one of those installing x64 on more then 3gb ram error thingy? It would be really helpful in trouble shoot if we know your system spec like at list what specific OS you are talking about.
