| Newbie Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Uac no matter how many times I untick the uac in users, every time I reboot my computer it as "reinstated" itself and if I wish to run certain programmes, like DragonDictate, I cannot run them in "elevated mode" and therefore I have to once again untick the uac and restart the computer. Everyone else seems to have no problem with this. From what I can understand it works "permanently" for most users. I thought that installing the service Pack 1 would rectify this problem for me. However, that is not to be ![]() is there any way at all to permanently remove UAC? It is driving me crazy |

Be sure and backup your registry or make a restore point right before you use the cleaner. 99% of all registry cleanings go fine, but I would have my data backed up too. If these steps fail, then you could do a repair install of Vista if you have one of the needed types of Vista DVD. There is a great repair install tutorial on this site. Check it out if you have to go this far. No guarantees, of course. Best. |
