Change the login procedure

Hi,

I want to write my own login program. So that I can force the user to supply additional passwords in order to login to the system. Do you know if this is possible. I have seen this in the omni program for using fingerprints as passwords.

Re: Change the login procedure

Hi Daniel,

Without a 3rd party program like the one you mentioned, this is about all you can do with the logon in Vista as far as I know:

1. Set it to where the user must enter their Username and Password, not just their password.

Logon with Username and Password

2. You can include a logon Title and Message screen before the user logon screen.

Logon Title and Text Message

I hope this helps,
Shawn

Re: Change the login procedure

Thanks but if it is possible with a 3rd party software it should be possible to write your own software to do it, right?

What I'm trying to do is so the user can log in with face recognition using a webcam.

Re: Change the login procedure

Daniel,

That would be a pretty nice thing to have. I have no idea how to it or where to look, but I wish you luck on it.

Re: Change the login procedure

I asked the same question in the MSDN forum and got a nice answer:

Re: Changing the login procedure - MSDN Forums

The recognition part shouldnt be a problem and in a few hours reading the login part shouldnt either

Thanks for the help any way.
