Help Please!!!

My computer upstairs is stuck,I have 3 users on the computer one used to be an administrator and the others were standard users with parental controls.Well now somone got into the parental controls and changed something to make all the users standard and no administrator. So now they can't do anything and it keeps asking for a administrators password and there is no administrator!!!What do i do and how do i do it.I called vista company and they told me to buy the cd from them for 200bucks.Or they could fix it online for 80 bucks.Well it seems like a easy fix but i cant figure it out and im not paying for it!
Please help somebody.

Re: Help Please!!!

Hi kcohol,

Welcome to Vista x64 Forums.

See if you can boot into Safe Mode and create a new Administrator account. If it asks for a password, try the old administrator account's to see if it still applies.

Safe Mode

If you cannot, see if you can enable the built-in Administrator account, then logoff of Safe Mode and logon to the new built-in Administrator account to create a new normal administrator account.

Administrator Account

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Re: Help Please!!!

Your welcome kcohol. I'm glad that your problem is fixed.

I can't believe they wanted to charge you for something like this.

I'm not surprised...after all, Microsoft thinks about $$ 24/7
