Sony MemoryStick card reading problems in x64 - NOT in x86!

Hi guys,

I installed Vista Ultimate x64 SP1 today on my new laptop today (Dell XPS 1330). I had been running x86 Vista Home...

However, I've installed the card reader drivers and while the reader is working it now won't read my Sony MemoryStick cards. It was definetely reading them before on Vista Home 32bit.

The card reader is fine with my SD cards, so not quite sure why it won't read my memory sticks. It picks them up, shows them as memory sticks but when I try to open them it says; "Please insert memory stick in drive g:".

I know alot of this is down to drivers and the card reader hardware but I'm wondering whether this might actually be a x64 issue - rather than related to specific hardware.

I am running x64 drivers for the card reader (it's made by Ricoh).

The memorystick cards were working perfectly in x86 Vista Home.

Anyone else come across this issue.. I did a Google and found another person who had this issue when moving from 32bit to 64bit Vista.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
James.
