Exclude App failures in Reliability Monitor

Hey Guys,

The Vista Reliability monitor is pretty cool, except, application failures frequently and easily bring down the stability index of the system.

Personally, I do not like that. One cannot judge the stability of a system purely on the stability of just one application on the system. For me, that application is Team Fortress 2. Every time I'm done playing it, it crashes on exit. This usually happens frequently with most Source engine games.

Unfortunately, b/c of TF2 crashing on exit, my stability index is 2.95! My system is not at all unstable!

Is there an easy way to modify the report so that it excludes application failures from the report? I have done a lot of searching on the internet, and I cannot find anything about it.

As far as I am aware, there is no way of removing any of the categories in the Reliability Monitor. An application that crashes EVERY time upon exit is indicative of incompatibility with Vista and, as such, you need to be checking for updates for that application. You could try changing the compatibility settings for the program - right click the program's shortcut and select 'Properties'. Goto the 'Compatibility' tab and try various combinations of the items on this page. You might find a setting that works, but if you don't find any settings that give an improvement with your program then the above advice stands.

Well, that's too bad. :(

I just wish Valve fixed the problem. It's not a major problem, it's just annoying that every time I exit TF2, it gives the "Program encountered an error" BS.
