| Member | Print Spooler Problem Thought I'd give this group a try. Have had several hundred of these warnings show up every day since 05/01/08 when I started all over again with everything loaded as from the factory and even before I ever installed my HP printer. Event ID #4, checked it out on MS and it seems I have everything running properly; i.e. both "Remote procedure Call" set to auto in Services. Got another printer showing up in Properties, "Microsoft XPS Document Writer", don't really know what it is or where it came from. If it is a bad registry key can anyone tell me how I can correct this? Log Name: System Source: Microsoft-Windows-SpoolerWin32SPL Date: 5/8/2008 21:34:01 Event ID: 4 Task Category: None Level: Warning Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: hdbg62-PC Description: The print spooler failed to reopen an existing printer connection because it could not read the configuration information from the registry key S-1-5-18\Printers\Connections. The print spooler could not open the registry key. This can occur if the registry key is corrupt or missing, or if the registry recently became unavailable.
