Print Spooler Problem

Thought I'd give this group a try. Have had several hundred of these warnings show up every day since 05/01/08 when I started all over again with everything loaded as from the factory and even before I ever installed my HP printer. Event ID #4, checked it out on MS and it seems I have everything running properly; i.e. both "Remote procedure Call" set to auto in Services. Got another printer showing up in Properties, "Microsoft XPS Document Writer", don't really know what it is or where it came from. If it is a bad registry key can anyone tell me how I can correct this?

Re: Print Spooler Problem

Guess this one needs to be ignored, did stumble on to prior posts on the subject, albeit with no solutions.

Re: Print Spooler Problem

Perhaps I found a solution; implemented registry change and will report back:

Re: Print Spooler Problem

Seems to work! Whereas I had a dozen or so warning messages appear in Event Viewer everyday, I've had none since I applied the registry change.
