Vista 64 or 32?

I am building a new computer and will be installing Vista Ultimate. I have the option of loading the 64 bit or 32 bit versions of Vista. I am curious to know some of the pros and cons of each. At this point I've not decided which version to install.

Welcome to the Vista Forums!

x86 (32 bit) advantages: Better compatibility, drivers do not have to be signed.

x64 (64 bit) advantages: more than 4 gig memory possible

I personally use the x86 version of Ultimate and am very satisfied. It would be my opinion that you'll experience less headache with the x86 version, although my x64 friends may disagree.

Which ever version you chose, getting Ultimate is a good choice.

Best of luck to you,
