udisk

hi all

i am trying to update the bios on my m/b ECS nf650islit-a,i have recived support from ECS but there telling me this "you need copy the file to U-disk(awdflash and 650I214.bin).then enter DOS OS and find the U-disk".

i have the files but have no idea what udisk is,or were to put them,so i can find them in DOS.

could anyone help

They say in fact that you can boot from a usb device, useful for people not having a cd/dvd reader installed on their machine.
They surely explain somewhere how you can boot from usb to update your bios.

thanks for reply

i havent tried booting from a flash drive because the reason for the bios flash is because the usb,s dont work ,neither do my 2 dvd rw's,they reckon upgrading the bios will make the system reload all the drivers as i cant seem to do it becaus the pc says i cant install them.

but im gonna have a go,so will let you know.
