Re: Control Panel cause Explorer to stop working

@roy69, I read about all the iTunes problems pre 7.2, so it was a good idea. Luckily that's an issue I'm not experiencing right now.

@sidney1st, No problems with Security Center. I really don't have any problems with any of the programs/apps/whatever they're called that you can get to from the Control Panel... like "Unistall or change a program", "Security Center", "Personalization", I get can to that stuff, it's just the "Control Panel" window that crashes Explorer.

I'm gonna try some driver updates and I'll get my results back to you.

Re: Control Panel cause Explorer to stop working

Try launching the CPL files, the problem maybe comes from one of them.

Re: Control Panel cause Explorer to stop working

I seem to have fixed it, it was my audio drivers. I went to Gigabyte's website and downloaded the latest Realtek drivers from their site, installed and rebooted, now it's working fine.

Re: Control Panel cause Explorer to stop working

Glad it works
In fact the fault should have come from RTSnMg64.cpl

Have a nice week-end.
