hi friends,
i have a lenovo 3000N100 0768GZQ approx 1 yr old which came with in built Windows vista home basic. a bootable disk was not enclosed with the system when i bought it. now if i have to re-format my disk, how should i do it without having an original bootable disk.

does the thinkvantage Rescue & Recovery help in this matter?

Machines sold with Vista installed should come with a partition that does what the boot disk does, and to format and install fresh I believe you press F11 at the Manufacturers screen that shows when first booting.
If not, call the manufacturer and request boot disks, chances are it will cost something, but nothing substantial.
If neither of those are available, you could 'download' a 'backup' you 'made' and 'uploaded' to a torrent site, and then burn the .iso of your 'backup' on to a CD and install like normal. Then you would have to visit the manufacturers website to find the specific drivers for your machine, download them, and install them.
