Vista - dual core cpu in cpu-z

dual core cpu in cpu-z

My e6700 in cpu z is showing up as clocked at 2.66ghz (ie stock speed) but in core0 clocks is indicated at 1.6ghz?? Whats going on, i though my 2 cores split the clock speed between each other.

nvr mind. I just twigged at the last min = speedstep clocks it down. DUH!!!
