paltalk.exe -application error

guys im desperately in a need to solve this problem plz help

paltalk is AVM software >chat

during my installation i get a message > failed to register COM(activex) control:c:/programfiles/paltalkmessanger/n2p.dll
failure in loadinglibrary0(126)

any way i did go on with installation and when i try to run . it worked but in few seconds i get another error message;

the instruction at 0x6f70827b referenced memory at 0x000000bc .the memory could not be read.click to terminate the program

any suggestions to solve this .i do appreciate ur help plz

Welcome to the forums!

I'm not real sure but that sounds like a DEP crash.
It's trying to write to RAM, and the DEP is stopping it.

If so you may be able to make an exception for it.

EDIT: Modern processor hardware can be instructed to designate regions of memory as non-executable. This means that the memory can be used to store reference data to be read and written, but that the processor cannot treat the contents of the memory as program code to be directly executed.

Hey Farid19,

Please follow these steps for me
1. uninstall paltalk
2. empty your c/temp directory (or the drive your temp directory is in)
3. reboot your pc
4. go to paltalk.com and download the latest version to your desktop
5. Install paltalk from your desktop
This should correct the problem you are having with upgrading. If this fails to work, please write back to us

hi again
anyway i did reinstall(format) pc .but still facing same problem

and this problem started after i uninstalled ESET N0D 32 internet security i think problem in kernel or ...


now i did try it and i did receive memory error >the memory could not be read click ok to terminate the program or cancel to debug

If you formatted, then your uninstallation of ESET will have nothing to do with the formatted PC as there is no remnant of ESET anymore.

But something that *might* be there would be a rootkit, or possibly an MBR virus....

Of course, if you formatted, then installed ESET, then uninstalled it again, then it *would* have an effect....

Can you please detail what steps you took in what order when this problem started occurring up until now?

all i did i uninstalled eset nod internet security and change it with kaspersky anti virus .after the change over the paltalk stops working properly. i tried all the options even yours but non solve problem.also checked for malware and other security threats using kasperky .superantispyware .normanwalware.and adwarepro. my pc is clean but paltalk seems not welling to work.and all things work perfectly

After formatting, you did not install and then uninstall Eset?

Go grab another copy of Paltalk for Vista and try installing that one.

so, after formatting, you then re-installed you system from scratch and then installed Kaspersky again?
