Ever since I installed SP1 my download speeds have gone from 500k or up down to 30-60k. The only change is sp1 and it's fine on the laptop which is xp.

Anyone have any ideas?

It would help knowing what type of connection you're using. It might be that before SP1, you used specific IP and DNS addresses that help with the high speeds, and now after SP1 your network connection is get to "automatically assign" these addresses.

It is odd though that you're having this problem because of SP1. I've actually found that since installing SP1 on my system, my downloads speeds have improved across the board.

Well I'm not at my home pc atm, on works. Though as far as I remember I never manually inserted IP's or any DNS info, i'm pretty sure it was on auto assign.
