| Windows Vista x64 Ultimate | Re: Taskbar clock As an alternative, use the clock of the sidebar, and adjust it's settings to "Show the second hand". (To get to the settings, hover the mouse pointer over the clock gadget, then click on the wrench icon). |

| x64 Home Premium | Re: Taskbar clock or you can install clock software. I am using 1st Clock. The most popular 32bit choices are Chameleon Clock and Atomic Alarm Clock. These are not free though. |

| Vista Home Premium 32-bit & Vista Ultimate 64-bit both Service Pack 2 W7 Pro RTM 7600 32 & 64 | Re: Taskbar clock Hi Learner, Sorry, that is not possible with the built-in clock for the system tray. As Peter says, you can have the sidebar clock set to show the seconds and/or as Zoloft says, you can install an alternative clock. This does seem to be a long-standing situation with Microsoft and Windows, going back to Win95. In all cases, the time format is set through regional settings, and you can set it to show the seconds there. It appears with the seconds (if you select them) in the preview box but NOT in the system tray. Whether this is a bug that has got overlooked or whether it is intentional I cannot say. Dwarf |

| Vista Ultimate 32bit | Re: Taskbar clock The lack of functionality in the taskbar clock is an one of those niggling little things I've always been disappointed with in Windows. The Vista feature to add additional clocks is slightly better. The solution I am using is called TClock Light. I am running Vista Ultimate 32bit. It allows me to adjust the way the clock displays in many ways. It has some additional features but I don't use them, I only wanted to change the way the clock displays so the font is bigger. One caveat is that using this will make the additional clocks feature in Vista unavailable. I got TClock Light from TClock Light Regards, pers |
