how much ram do you have to be able to run that animated desktop with no problems? i tried that and it makes my lap top very laggy.. i have 2GB with vista home premiume

Hi paliometoxo,

I have 4 GB of dual channel DDR2 1066 MHz RAM. I idle at 3% CPU usage with it. CPU is a Core 2 Quad Q9450.

Strange though. I had it running on my old system with 2 GB DDR 667 MHz RAM with a idle CPU usage of 13%. It was a 3 GHz P4 630 w/HT.

Usually that Dream doesn't use much resources.
I suppose what kind of CPU and graphics card you have will play a role in how it performs to though.

that must be it, its just a simple acer lap top nothing special i want to upgrade to 4GB ram though, but its not just with your wallpaper it does that its with all of them when i install the program so it must be my pc or that i dont use ultimate? just home premium

You can select that one from the options of the clock - there are 8 different skins.

Or, you can download a different clock from the Windows Gadget site....same basic clock with a little twist - you can make the second hand bounce if you enable both second hand and bounce....

Unless you are running stardock 2.0(deskscapes) or ultimate you will have judders and shakes etc.
