CD/DVD drive problem

I have an HP Pavillion dc2617us Entertainment Notebook PC. For some unknown reason I am unable to use my CD/DVD player. My computer tells me that I have the most recent driver, but when I look under My Computer the disc drive does not even exist. What happened?

Erm, try uninstalling the drive. Reboot and let the computer install the drives itself thats what i did when my drive stopped working and it worked . (Uninstall via device manager)

OR

You can take a look at this Drive - Hide or Unhide

Good Luck
