Vistas messages?

Task Mgr Messages?

I got a call from my fiancee today. She is running Vista and keeps receiving the following messages:

1) ApMsgSwd.exe - I can't find and explanation of this program on the web?

2) Memory Private Workstation export? (listed in the taskmgr)

Does anyone else get these messages and what do the actually pertain too?

Any help or explanation would be of a great help to us.

I may have some parts of the messages wrong, but anything close as far as info goes would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Vistas messages?

What you mean messages, do they pop up? or are they just processes?

Do the messages just say "ApMsgSwd.exe"? where? in the taskmgr or a msg box?

ApMsgSwd.exe is error codes for HP i think.

And all I can think of for number 2 is that her workstation is private and is some sort of security application?

Re: Vistas messages?

Thanks for the quick reply!

She says, "Task mgr shows a program running, called, Memory Private workstation export".
She also mentioned the ApMsgSwd.exe program too pop up from Kaspersky most likely.

I could not find any such names or programs on the web either.

Re: Vistas messages?

Does she have anything HP? Also beside the process in taskmgr it usely gives a description...has she looked at it? Maybe that will help her identify what it is. It should be right of the process (Image)

Re: Vistas messages?

I believe she does have HP, I'll have to go and check the messages and machine this week.

Thanks for the quick reply!
