Why is my CPU Usage so high? It's using 100% sometimes and sometimes 88%. From 88-100% CPU Usage. What is the problem here? Is it supposed to be that high?

Hi Chow2rich,

You can use Resource Manager to see what is using your CPU. This tutorial will show you how to if needed. From there, look under the CPU bar drop down arrow for a list of programs and processes that are currently using the CPU and by what percentage.

Hope this helps,

I had a really weird problem with CPU usage. My usage went up to nearly 100% and their were no programs running. It turned out the battery on my motherboard needed to be replaced. Once I did that the CPU usage went back to normal.

Thanks, but I decided to get rid of Vista. I don't like Windows Vista. Especially it's giving me problems. Like network problems. It's not compatible or something. So I restore my Laptop back to Windows XP Media Center. To me XP is better.

It all comes down to whatever each person feels most comfortable and productive with. Well, at least in your own home. At work, you use what your boss / IT-department tells you to use. ;)
