Vista - computer management wont start!

woops posted dat twice didnt notice it was now 2 pages....and thankyou for that help with the shutdown problems im not sure if it was a one time thing tho cause havnt shutdown since. but thnx im now doing that scan

Hmmm, if your user account has admin privileges, it is weird.
Disable UAC and try to run your computer management console, if does not work, register the dll while uac is disabled.
Re-activate UAC and try to open the console again.

Maybe to be sure that there is no malware involved in your problems, you could install that little prog: http://download.hijackthis.eu/HJTInstall.exe
Run it and attach here the log file.

I could sorta agree wit changing da virus scanner and stuff but we really dont want to cause we are paying for da current one but meh we might think about it.

i did wot u said with that scan and it said there were errors that it couldn't fix so i went to that file you said to go to and it wasnt a txt file instead it was a "file" file so i made it a txt file and it was empty. any suggestions?

Then send this command (under command prompt as admin)
findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log >sfcdetails.txt

Check if the txt file is there (system32 folder)

well i did wot u said and found the file and it has multiple files that couldn't be repaired or are corrupted anymore ideas?
btw i got to go to bed so will read it in the morning NIGHT!!!
