My DVD/CD drive will not read any disc's, I just get a message saying insert a disc
DVD & CD drive will not read DVD's or CD

Are these blank discs or are they actual movies. What application are you using to actually use the disc. Has this worked in the past? Try to include a little more detail so that we can assist you in the problems you are experiencing.

Music CD's MP3 files on a DVD,yes the drive has worked before when I put in a discs a message comes up saying insert discs into drive

I had the same problem mate. The motor had broke and couldn't spin the disc. Had to call and get a replacement sent out.

Does *any* media in the drive work? That is key....
If only a certain *type is not working *burned CDs, burned DVDs, data discs, audio discs, etc) then it is most definitely not the drives problem. If nothing works, then it *may* be a drive problem - but it might also be a *driver* problem....
