How did I do?

Im just lookin for some reassurance that i didnt make a mistake
i just got a new laptop off of HPs website
and although it seems to be somewhat high end (by the standards of the website) i would just like to hear from others to make sure i didnt make a mistake that ill regret in the future
my comp will be primarily for school/work but some gaming will be done too (StarCraft 2!!)
This will be my computer for a long time so im getting less and less worried about choosing 64bit (i didnt know the differences at the time and after buying it and hearing about some lack of compatibilty i started to worry)

anyway here are the specs that i know off hand:
Vista Home Premium 64bit
Intel Duo Core T8300 @ 2.4
4 GB ram (highest it went)
Geforce 8600M GS

anything i should of done differently? Should I attempt to return and swap for something else? Should i be worry free and enjoy my computer for years to come?

Thank in advance

for what your asking you laptop to do those specs are more than ample so no need to worry for quite a long time

Agreed, you will be set for a bit unless you really want to play some serious game intensive graphics that will make it chop a little bit but in my opinion, laptops are for mobility not gaming... But there are some laptops out there that can hold their own if you want to spend as much as a decent used car on it.

You might also define *long time* - and evaluate (user reviews as well as commercial review sites) things like battery longevity, accessory longevity, and whether this thing supports any upgrades - sure, HP said they only offer 4 GB Max, but is that really the max the hardware can handle?
