Crashing/Freezing

I bought a Fujitsu siemans laptop for my son
Amilo PI
1.6 Dual processor
1.5 ram
120hdd
vista premium
When i try to download music /movies etc from various sites
my laptop crashes or freezes every time .Ive updated vista but to no avail
Please could anyone help cheers

Could you possibly add where your downloading from, and in what format (eg: MP3)

Yep, most download sites for music and movie have loads of spyware and adware. Your computer or browser can crash just by visiting the first page. Basicly your computer is getting injected by so much advertisement that it freezes. I clean my little nephew's computer every week and he gets about the same problem.

Bottom line, if you can visit other "regular" website and your computer doesn't freeze, then you should stop visiting those downloads site period.

Drubei .I asure you its not the torrent sites or dc++
I dont use limewire ,imesh or any of the other trashy sites
this does NOT occure with xp

Thanks for the confirmation. Can you tell me if you can visit all other standard website ok? Like log into yahoo, msn, youtube for example. And what browser are you using?
It would also help if you give me the website which causes your crash as I can go there and see if crashes too.

yes i can visit other sites .But sometimes if i use real player download manager it freezes randomly.I use firefox and sometimes but rarely IE.It is mainly on torrent sites i have used bit torrent and u torrent before with no issue whatsoever
