Re: mouse issue

Hi Fexos, and welcome to Vista Forums.

Have you already checked for a newer mouse driver version, and/or reinstalled it?

Re: mouse issue

I have this same issue, my mouse is a usb one. My system is a Asus Mobo, 4gb ram, Vista Home Premium 32bit SP1, it just doesn't respond and the keyboard works fine with the ps2 plug. But after returning from sleep mode, the mouse doesn't work and whatever apps were open do not work.

Re: mouse issue

Both of you need to make sure that in Device Manager Vista is not set to turn off the mouse to save power....

Re: mouse issue

I believe it is not checked so it can't turn it off. So I don't know what else to do. I have vista purely for the Vista Media Center, and I can't put it to sleep with a successful resume. I tried this with my mouse and my pointer remote, and they both do the same after sleep. Thanks for all the help in advance.

Re: mouse issue

No0 offense, but *believing* is not good enough. It needs to be a cold hard fact.

Re: mouse issue

Sorry guess I should of been specific, I am 100%sure that option is not checked. As in the system is not set to turn off the mouse when in sleep mode, I think it has to do with my mobo which is an Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe. I still have the cd that came with my mobo, but it won't install in vista. I don't know why it won't, it goes in and it throws some error. And now my disk drives will not let me keep a music cd in, I put them in and media player comes up and then starts to play song for 1 sec and then spits it out. I'm really frustrated at how hard it is to get vista working properly, and it seems to be getting worse. Please HELP !
