| Vista 32bit | Tablet PC Input Panel problem I am currently having a problem with my Tablet PC input panel, I am running vista business on 32-bit on a HP compaq 2510 laptop, now when I am using the input panel I cant access any of the drop menus ( tools, help and language ) when I try to click on one of the menus it opens for like a split secon then closes. I have tried searching for solutions but alas have not found any. I couldn't even find a way to reinstall the software. Any solution would be apreciated as I would hate to restore the system to factory settings. |

| Vista | Re: Tablet PC Input Panel problem I had the exact same problem, solved it by pressing shift + alt to change keyboard language (using my actual keyboard, not the on-screen one). Can't really explain why that worked though. You might not still have the problem, in that case maybe there's someone else out there with the same problem who can try this. |

| Vista | Re: Tablet PC Input Panel problem I managed to reproduce this problem and have a more detailed description of how to get rid of it. 1) Add a second keyboard under Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options -> Keyboards and Languages. I had English (United States) and added Swedish (Sweden). 2) Open the Tablet PC Input Panel and switch language to Swedish (I have only tested with swedish). 3) Exit the Tablet PC Input Panel from the Tools menu. Don't use the "x" icon since that will only minimize the app. 4) Once again open the Tablet PC Input Panel. You should now experience the problem. Now to fix it: 5) press Shift + Alt to change keyboard language back to English (if you do it on the on-screen keyboard you must press Alt twice). 6) Press the Character Pad or the Writing Pad icon in the top left of the on-screen keyboard. These two buttons are disabled when the keyboard language is set to Swedish. 7) Your menus should now be working again. |
