| Vista Ultimate w/SP1 (32-bit) and Windows 7 Build 7000 (64-bit) | Re: Blue screen of death!!!! help!!! We need more information, such as the error messages you're getting on the blue/red/white screens of death. We also need to know when this started happening, did you install any software recently that may have caused these to start? |

| Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: Blue screen of death!!!! help!!! My comp is like 10 days old, so I've installed all hardware and been updatin a bunch of things, as for the errors, I dont really know, they go away in like 5 sec (comp restars) so I cant really read anything. I get these screens when I'm playing crysis, playing chess, watching House/bleach/Naruto and things like that |

| Windows 7 x64 | Re: Blue screen of death!!!! help!!! Right click on "Computer" and go to properties>advanced system settings then go to "Settings" for "Startup and Recovery" at the bottom. Under "System failure", uncheck the "Automatically restart" box. When you get a blue/red/white screen now, it won't restart, so you will be able to read what it says, which can help troubleshoot your problem. |

| Vista Home Premium x64 SP1 | Re: Blue screen of death!!!! help!!! Of course it can. Just type "vista bsod" into google search and you can read thousands of reports from people who have had a BSOD. BSODs happen less often in Vista than in XP, because there is a greater separation of applications from the main system. So if a badly programmed application crashes it's less likely to bring down the whole system, but it does happen occasionally. You can even force one to happen for testing purposes, as descibed here How to create a Blue Screen of Death: Insight - Software - ZDNet Australia |
