Management Console has stopped working

On Vista Ultimate 64-bit, when I click Computer -> Manage, I get a pop-up that says:

I have tried the following, but got the same problem

• Control Panel -> Admin Tools -> Computer Management
• Start Command Prompt as Administrator, then enter compmgmt.msc.
• Start Command Prompt as Administrator, then enter devmgmt.msc.
• Start Command Prompt as Administrator, then enter diskmgmt.msc.

I don't know how long it has been broken. It used to work a few months ago. I have tried the following repair methods without success:

• Computer Restore - Tried several restore points, but still broken.
• Booted with Vista DVD, then repaired system. But still broken.
• Tried using sfc /scannow to repair system. But it aborted after 76% complete and returned the following error: Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation
• Tried using sfc in Safe Mode, but got the same resource error as above
• Booted with Vista DVD, started command prompt, and tried using sfc to repair system, but got the same resource error as above.

Other than not being about to use Computer Management, the system works fine. Any ideas on how to fix Computer Management; other than reinstalling Vista?

Uninstall firewall,antivirus and antimalwere if you have...see efects,if still nothing help you check event viewer (I hope you can run it..)

Start>>Search>>eventvwr.msc

Check error messages in Application and System section-maybe there you'll find resolve...

Thanks for the suggestions Flavius, but they didn't fix the problem ...

I completely disabled Kasparsky firewall, virus scanner, malware protection, etc...
But sfc /scannow still quits with resource error.

I can't start event viewer, I get the same problem as trying to start computer management.

Surly you can't run any *.msc file:huh:

will see...

1.Check do you have same problem in safe mode - if is I'll give up,if no problem in safe then

Start>>Search>>msconfig.exe



and below:hide all MS services and disable all non-MS services and run system normally and again check do you have this problem...
